1.5L to 3L for the bathhouse formula (one to two kettle's worth)
Optional: Boil your electric kettle inside the bathroom for steam and convenience
Step 2: Run Your Bath Waters
Fill your tub 1/3 of the way with hot water with the door closed
The goal is to make your bathroom nice and steamy so that it creates a sauna-like environment and helps retain scent better (makes the atmosphere heavier so the scent lingers longer)
Optional: Place a towel at the foot of the door to prevent steam from escaping and increase humidity inside the bathroom (please note that this can be a safety and fire hazard so please be aware of the risks)
Step 3: Prepare Bathhouse Tea Bag
Cut the top off
Put the tea bag over the bath blend
Flip everything upside down and allow the ingredients to pour into the tea bag
Tie the strings tightly until the tea bag is closed
Take one string and, in one direction, wrap it around the top tightly; take the other string and tie it tightly in the opposite direction
Tie a knot so that formula is secure in place
Step 4: Prepare to Steep Bathhouse Tea Bag
Prepare inside the bathroom
Bring the large pot to the bathroom and place it on a stable, heat-resistant, and flat surface
Place the Bathhouse tea bag inside the large pot
Pour boiling hot water into pot
Use wooden spoon to press down lightly occasionally
Optional: Place a towel at the foot of the door to prevent steam from escaping
Step 5: Steep Bathhouse Tea Bag
Steep for 8-10 minutes inside the bathroom then throw the bath blend into the tub
Leave the door closed
Let the aroma steep through
After 8-10 minutes throw entire tea bath blend and the content into the bath
Step 6: Steep Hojicha Tea
We provided enough tea for an entire pot
Loose leaf tea eventually sinks to the bottom of the tea pot or alternatively you can put some it in your mug
Step 7: Select Your Auditory Experience
This bath is about bringing together the different senses in a seamless way. Instead of putting on a TV show or sitting in silence, appreciate diverse sounds and rhythms and colour your thoughts with our relaxation playlists.
P.S. We are not affiliated with Spotify, but we do love them. You need Spotify premium to enjoy this.
Ancient Forest Bathhouse Playlist The moss grows bright green, the air is crisp and clean, and the trees are as tall as the eye can see. The forest is old, full of life, and filled with stories. The leaves crisp beneath your boots, the wind howls through the branches, and the ground is filled with energy. You soak it all in.
Calming Nature Bath Sometimes, nature is what we need to feel free and pure. This playlist was curated so you can close your eyes and picture yourself with the trees, birds, and water, surrounded by Mother Earth and her soul-nourishing beauty. Dance with the birds, smell the fresh rain, and taste the salty ocean air.
Meditative Sound Bath Playlist Mindful meditation will elevate your bath experience, transforming your routine into a soulful ritual that is rejuvenating and rebalancing. I fell in love with Tibetan singing bowls during my travels in Asia - so let these sounds wash over your mind, body and soul as you soak in our warm baths.
Step 8: Relax and Enjoy
Suggestions:
Make sure you have plenty of water to stay hydrated during the bath experience
Put a towel at the foot of the door so the steam is contained (be careful because it could be a health hazard - it could get too hot)
I hope this bath experience offers you some comfort and relief from the daily stressors that overwhelm and drain us. When you're done your bath, click "I am done by bath" on the home page.
