This dreamy tea bath uses oolong milk tea and aromatic botanicals to transport you to a remote bathhouse atop a softly-clouded mountain. Fully immerse yourself in this calming landscape with our instrumental wind playlist and tea pairing to help guide your sensory journey and increase mindfulness.

How to Prepare

Carve intentional time to enjoy this bath experience. You can choose to use the entire bath blend for the maximum experience or split the bath blend into portions to enjoy across multiple experiences.

Step 1: Set the Mood

Pick a playlist to listen to as you begin setting up your bathhouse experience.
This playlist is meant to help slow down your thoughts. Please note that there is a different playlist option for your actual bath experience.

Step 2: Set Your Environment

Turn your bathroom into a sanctuary

  • Flowers
  • Candles
  • Bath Tools
  • Bath Lighting
Step 3: Boil Hot Water

You will need to boil water for the experience

  • 1.5L to 3L for the bathhouse formula (one to two kettle's worth)
  • Optional: Boil your electric kettle inside the bathroom for steam and convenience
Step 4: Run Your Bath Waters

Fill your tub 1/3 of the way with hot water with the door closed

  • The goal is to make your bathroom nice and steamy so that it creates a sauna-like environment and helps retain scent better (makes the atmosphere heavier so the scent lingers longer)
  • Optional: Place a towel at the foot of the door to prevent steam from escaping and increase humidity inside the bathroom (please note that this can be a safety and fire hazard so please be aware of the risks)
Step 5: Light Your Candles

If you have our candles, we recommend lighting it on a flat, heat-proof plate or in a votive candle glass jar.

I do not recommend introducing scented candles into this experience - the scent is meant to be light, natural, and gentle.

Step 6: Prepare Bathhouse Tea Bag

Cut the top off

Put the tea bag over the bath blend

Flip everything upside down and allow the ingredients to pour into the tea bag

Tie the strings tightly until the tea bag is closed

  • Take one string and, in one direction, wrap it around the top tightly; take the other string and tie it tightly in the opposite direction
  • Tie a knot so that formula is secure in place
Step 7: Prepare to Steep Bathhouse Tea Bag

Prepare inside the bathroom

  • Bring the large pot to the bathroom and place it on a stable, heat-resistant, and flat surface
  • Place the Bathhouse tea bag inside the large pot
  • Pour boiling hot water into pot
  • Use wooden spoon to press down lightly occasionally
  • Optional: Place a towel at the foot of the door to prevent steam from escaping
Step 8: Steep Bathhouse Tea Bag

Steep for 8-10 minutes inside the bathroom then throw the bath blend into the tub

  • Leave the door closed
  • Let the aroma steep through
Step 9: Brew Oolong Milk Tea

This oolong tea is meant to be steeped over and over. Brew an entire pot because this tea isn't meant for just one cup! Please note that oolong tea has caffeine.

Step 10: Light Your Palo Santo Stick

This is not a one-time use stick. Feel free to reuse as desired.

Using Palo Santo is subjective and up to you - as long as we are doing it in a respectful and sustainable way. Whether you're using it for spiritual purposes or because you want to immerse in this unique scent, appreciate this historic wood.

  • Light the Palo Santo stick over the flame for 30 seconds at a 45 degree angle (outside the bathroom)
  • Blow out the fire (smoke should immediately appear)
  • Let the smoke linger for a 2-3 seconds inside the bathroom (you don't want it too smokey)
